So many Americans are frustrated by the debilitating and polarizing partisanship that characterizes federal and state government today. Each side just wants to grab more power because they believe they are righteous, and that the other party is evil. The nation\u2019s government is out of whack\u2014the \u2018balance of power\u2019 enshrined in the Constitution is no longer balanced. When this happens, factions tear apart the fabric of the country. The Founding Fathers feared unrestrained factions more than they feared foreign invasion. Notsince the Civil War has this problem so threatened the American Republic. Constitutional course corrections after the Civil War (the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments) fixed some of the problems, but not all of them. Constitutional course corrections are again part of the solution to the current chaos and partisan bickering.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In the 1860s, Democrats and Republicans had fundamentally different worldviews and governance views. It took a devasting war and constitutional revisions to bring America back. Now in the 2020s, Democrats and Republicans again have fundamentally different worldviews and governance views. Article 5 of the Constitution was created specifically for this time in history.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
